Their story begins almost thirty years ago on “move-in-day” at the University of Northern Colorado in the mid 70′s. Cyndi and Lori were both freshmen that happened to be placed in the same dormitory hall. Cyndi’s sister told her that she absolutely had to meet the sweet, little brunette down the hall and luckily, she did. They met that day and never looked back. Their friendship has seen boyfriends and breakups, engagements and marriage, children and empty nests, moments of joy and moments of sorrow. Throughout their friendship, Cyndi and Lori both discovered one thing: they wanted to be passionate about what they were doing.
This passion started for each of them in helping their husbands create thriving businesses. Cyndi and her husband, Ed, have a business in commercial and recreational hot air ballooning. Lori and her husband, Tom, have a business in gymnastics. Next, their passion turned to raising their children. Four successful, well-adjusted children later, they now needed to find a new outlet for their passion. On a much needed “girls’ weekend” to one of their favorite Colorado mountain resorts in the summer of 2005, they were hiking and participating in their other favorite activity: shopping. Cyndi and Lori happened upon boutique after boutique and several necklaces and bracelets later, they were inspired to finally launch the business of their own that they had always dreamed of.
Their research and early designs began immediately; soon their families came to realize that they had found a new passion and were serious about creating a new business. Cyndi loves creating countless designs for every outfit and occasion, while Lori gets giddy just thinking about the textures and colors she can work with. Very often their designs are imagined faster than their hands can create them, but the results are astonishing. Every piece is inspired by their personal travels and experiences and exists as a reflection of the beauty of the world they have seen and felt. Their fun, romantic and unique handmade jewelry features vintage Swarovski crystals and pearls, Venetian beads, Thai silver, freshwater pearls, semi-precious stones, knitted and crocheted sterling silver and gold-filled wire and hand-dyed silk ribbon.
